News » Debate over health care reform continues

Mar. 23, 2010
Opinions remain strong on both sides of the health care reform debate.

President Obama is expected to sign the measure this morning, but there is still debate about whether the proposal will do more harm than good.

Kristine Stacker is the director of the Fox Cities Community Health Center.  She says the reforms will help people who can't currently afford health care coverage.

Fox Cties Chamber of Commerce President Bill Welch opposes the reform package.  He says the taxes and mandates included in the measure will hurt businesses and limit job growth.  Welch says the reform package also does nothing to lower the cost of health care.
