News » Appleton sees little snow in March
Mar. 31, 2010 With temperatures in the 70s, it's obvious that the Appleton area won't get any snow today. That means the city will finish the month of March with only 0.3 inches of the white stuff.
Roy Eckberg is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Green Bay, and he says that's the smallest amount in 37 years. He says Green Bay didn't get any snow this month, and that's the first time in the city's history.
Eckberg says the only measurable snow in Appleton came in the early morning of Saturday, March 20. He says parts of southern Winnebago County got up to an inch that day. |
