Ashwaubenon police arrested the man they believe is the suspect in a flat tire scam in the Green Bay area.
They say 50-year-old John Johnson of Green Bay would watch women walk into a store and then let the air out of one of their tires. They say he would then offer to pump it back up, using a portable air compressor.
He's accused of stealing items from their cars when he would plug the compressor into the car's cigarette lighter.
Police arrested Johnson this morning, after they found him sleeping in his car....in a store parking lot near Military Avenue and Mason Street. |
