Fire destroyed a bar and upstairs apartments in Manitowac last night.
Cpt. Mark Rufboldt of the Manitowac fire department says they were called to Glenn's Bar on 14th Street around 10:30 p.m. He says the building was already engulfed in flames, so they had to attack the blaze defensively, from the outside.
About a dozen people live in the apartments above the bar and Rufboldt says all have been accounted for.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The building is considered to be a total loss. |
