News » Most people aren't prepared for emergencies

Sept. 1, 2010
Only about 20 percent of people living in Wisconsin are prepared for a large-scale emergency.

That's according to a survey by ReadyWisconsin.  Tod Pritchard is a spokesman for the group.  He says officials want to make sure that people are prepared to protect themselves and their families in an emergency.

Pritchard says there's no time to around trying to gather necessities when an emergency hits. He says it's a good idea to have a three-day supply of food, water, and medications in an emergency kit.
