News » DOT warns of young drivers near schools
Sept. 2, 2010 Teens who received their driver's license over the summer and get to take their "wheels" to school for the first time need to be especially mindful of the rules.
That's the advice of Terry Stark with the DOT. He says drivers under 18-years-old with a graduated driver's license have to follow a number of special rules, and they can't have a bunch of young passengers in the car.
Stark says experienced drivers should also drive in a defensive mode around schools, and keep an eye out for young drivers. |
