Northern Wisconsin's wild rice harvesters are facing poor prospects this fall.
Peter David is with the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission, and he says they may only yield one-quarter to one-third of last year's record harvest.
David says the wet summer is to blame. He says some of the rice suffers from brown spot disease, but it's still safe to eat. |
