News » Conner sentenced to 33 years for 2008 murder
Sept. 2, 2010 A Menasha man will spend 33 years in prison for the 2008 murder of his neighbor.
23-year-old Eric Conner was sentenced this morning in Winnebago County court by Judge Bruce Schmidt.
Conner pleaded no contest to charges of first-degree reckless homicide and armed robbery last March for the death of John Remy.
Remy was found stabbed to death in his Third Street apartment and $1,300 was missing.
Court records say Conner was a knife salesman, and the knife that police found had the same model number that Conner had checked out for his job.
Conner will spend another 20 years on extended supervision. |
