News » Kagen supports Obama budget proposal
Feb. 3, 2010 An Appleton lawmaker says the record amount of deficit spending included in President Obama's $3.8 trillion budget proposal, may be necessary.
Congressman Steve Kagen says the country needs to spend the extra money to get the economy back on track.
President Obama's budget calls for spending about $1.5 trillion more than the government will bring in.
Kagen says proposals included in the spending plan could reduce the deficit by 50 percent over the next four years. |
