News » Grant money to help enforce gun restrictions
Mar. 16, 2010 A $250,000 grant will help four Wisconsin counties make sure people who aren't supposed to have guns, don't have them.
Wendy Gehl of Harbor House says judges can order people charged with abuse or harassment to surrender their guns, but right now no one is assigned to make sure that they're complying with the order.
Gehl says Harbor House is working with the DA's office and law enforcement to create a procedure to change that.
Outagamie, Winnebago, Waushara and Sauk counties are sharing the grant money. |
