Plans to double the size of the Rosendale Dairy have the blessing of DNR regulators.
The Fond du Lac County company wants to expand from 4,000 to 8,000 cows, which would make it the largest dairy operation in the state.
There are concerns from neighbors and environmentalists that all of the manure from the farm will negatively impact the groundwater. The DNR approved the dairy's water-protection permit yesterday and regulators say the language is stronger than state law requires. |
