News » More lock access means more activity on the Fox
Sept. 3, 2010 A couple hundred people in kayaks and canoes will be paddling from Neenah to Appleton tomorrow, and an organizer of the event says similar activities may become more common in the future.
Dave Horst says the Park-to-Park Paddle is just one example of how people can enjoy the Fox River. He says as more of the locks open, "paddlers" should become a more common sight.
Horst says the river gives people a different view of the area.
Tomorrow's paddling event starts at Shattuck Park in Neenah at 9:20 a.m. |
