News » Outagamie Co. preparing for e-recycling
Aug. 30, 2010 Outagamie County officials are preparing for new rules that start on Wednesday, requiring people to recycle their electronics, instead of throwing them in the trash.
Outagamie County solid waste director Phil Stecker says people can drop off their cell phones, computers, TVs and other items at the recycling center. He says other businesses might accept them. He says the county charges about $5 per item.
Stecker says the change will create more work for his department. But it shouldn't have a major impact on the recycling center's budget. |
