Badgers open Big Ten play by routing Ohio State

The 23rd ranked Wisconsin Badger men’s basketball team opened Big Ten play this afternoon and had their way with 15th ranked Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes 65-43 before 17-thousand plus at the Kohl Center.

Packers sign NT Toribio

The Green Bay Packers have signed NT Anthony Toribio to the active roster and placed LB Jeremy Thompson on injured reserve.

Badger defense is impressive in Bowl victory

Wisconsin’s kickoff coverage unit was burned  for a long return on the opening kickoff.  It led to a touchdown on the next play and Badger fans had to have that sinking feeling against the much quicker Miami Hurricanes.  But the Badgers didn’t panic.

Packers place three on NFC Pro Bowl team

Three Green Bay Packers were named to the 2009 NFC Pro Bowl team.  Safety Nick Collins, cornerback Charles Woodson and quarterback Aaron Rodgers (pictured) were all named to the team, Woodson as a starter on the NFC defense.
Linebacker Clay Matthews was named a first alternate.

Steelers throttle Packers defense in 37-36 win

Seven Badgers will play for gold in the Vancouver Olympic Games.  USA Hockey and head coach Mark Johnson (pictured) announced the 21 player U.S. Olympic squad at the Mall of America on Thursday.

Maymon wasn?t happy at Marquette

Brewers re-sign Counsell

The Milwaukee Brewers today re-signed infielder Craig Counsell to a one-year contract.
