A new roundabout near Appleton North high school will open before the school year starts.
The Outagamie County highway department oversaw the work at Hwy. JJ and Lightning Drive.
Highway Commissioner Dean Steingraber says they closed the intersection on April 24.
Steingraber says they also made some changes along Hwy. JJ, between Lightning Drive and Ballard Road. He says there are new ways to get in and out of the high school parking lot.
Crews also built a median to restrict some turns into the businesses on the north side of JJ.
