Last night’s performance of “Wicked” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center marked the 1,000th Broadway performance at the downtown Appleton theater.
President Maria Van Laanen says it’s something the community should be proud of, because they made it happen. She says they’ve hosted 30 Wisconsin premieres of Broadway shows over their 14-year history.
She says the overall number of performances at the PAC is much higher, if you include the Fox Valley Symphony, the Boldt Arts Alive series, and other education shows and artists.
“Wicked” will be in Appleton until Sept. 10. The 15th season at the PAC begins in October.
