Microsoft is picking Wisconsin to help start a new initiative to boost economic development through technology.
The company launched TechSpark this afternoon.
Michelle Schuler is the manager of the program in Wisconsin. She says they’re going to focus on a number of areas including computer science.
Schuler says they also want to expand rural broadband in northeast Wisconsin and help companies advance their technology.
Microsoft is offering the program in five other states as well.
