An Appleton based airline is solidifying it’s involvement and impact on the area.
Air Wisconsin has been headquartered in Appleton for years and now besides adding daily flights in and out of Appleton International Airport, the company is also going to lease a hanger at the Platinum Flight Center.
Pat Tracey is a spokesman for the airport. He says beginning in November the company will have two or three Air Wisconsin aircraft in the hanger for overnight maintenance. Tracey says this adds jobs to the community.
Tracey says about 250 Air Wisconsin employees live in the area and the company’s entire pilot training program has been here for many years.
He says they have a significant economic impact in the Fox Valley.
