Battery packs for remote controlled cars are being blamed for a fire that caused about $35,000 damage to a garage and the vehicle inside.
Kaukauna Fire officials were called to a home in the 300 block of Taylor St. around 3:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon and found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames.
The siding on two nearby buildings melted.
No one was hurt.
