An exhibit dedicated to telling the story of 1,244 local veterans who lost their lives in Vietnam is on display in the Brown County Library.
“The Paper Wall” is located on the second floor.
Local History and Genealogy Librarian Mary Jane Herber says it’s a collection of obituaries and casualty reports. She says the majority came from volunteers going through microfilm.
Herber says internet databases have helped them complete the exhibit. She says some people may have enlisted in Wisconsin, but were from other states and their death wasn’t reported here.
Herber says “The Paper Wall” is open during library hours until Veterans Day.
