The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation officially signed off on a contract with Foxconn yesterday.
It offers up to $3 billion in incentives.
Secretary Mark Hogan says the deal protects the state by tying the incentives to job creation.
The plant would be in Mount Pleasant in southeast Wisconsin.
Democratic Rep. Dana Wachs of Eau Claire was one of two board members to vote against the plan. He says it’s too much to give to one company in one industry.
Governor Walker is scheduled to sign the agreement with Foxconn’s CEO tomorrow in Racine.
