Nearly 2-1/2 years after the last major step in a proposed library project in downtown Appleton, the city is reaching out to developers for ideas.
The president of the library board is looking forward to seeing what the city receives for mixed-use projects. The city officially put out what’s called a “request for proposals” last week.
Board president Pat Exarhos says it’s a very exciting time, and they’re very happy that the RFP is out there.
Developers can submit specific plans through January 12. Exarhos says the community development department will go over them, and make recommendations to the library board later that month.
