On Thanksgiving Day, people in the region have several places to go for a meal.
Christ The Rock Church is putting together a big dinner at Monarch Gardens in Grand Chute again this year.
Event coordinator Julie Owens says they could serve more than 1,600 meals at the banquet hall on W. Spencer Street. She says they expect to make another 1,400 deliveries.
Owens says about 600 volunteers from around the community sign up. She says half will help at Monarch Gardens, and the other half will deliver meals.
The dinner is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Father Carr’s Place 2 B is holding a dinner in Oshkosh. It’s in the Mother Teresa Center at 1062 N. Koeller Street, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Deliveries are available.
There’s one at the Lambeau Field atrium in Green Bay, but it’s at capacity. Christian Outreach is hosting it.
