The sidewalks were packed along College Avenue in downtown Appleton for last night’s Christmas Parade.
Three of the entries took home awards.
Djuanna Hugdahl of Appleton Downtown Incorporated says a new float from St. Vincent de Paul won in the non-commercial category. She says it featured three sections of a house, and each one signified one of this year’s themes — peace, joy, and harmony.
MCC took home the award in the children’s category for a decorated cement mixer truck. The McMahon Group won in the commercial category for a float featuring a snow globe and people dressed in costumes from different countries around the world.
It was the city’s 47th annual Christmas Parade.
