A building in the heart of downtown Appleton that’s been empty for several years will be the home of two tech companies.
The former Gill-Tech Academy is in the 400 block of W. College Avenue. The owners of Launch Digital Marketing and Dealer Inspire are remodeling the first floor into office space.
The second floor will be turned into a few apartments.
Karen Harkness is the community development director for Appleton, and she says they’re excited to see the building being used. She says they’re especially excited about the housing component. Harkness says that’s because the city’s long-range plan for the downtown calls for more housing.
