The Basic Needs Giving Partnership is awarding over $5 million in grants to end poverty in the region.
The money is being split between more than 200 non-profits.
Greg Vandenberg is the director of giving and community engagement for U.S. Venture. He says the goal is to get at the things that cause poverty or prevent someone from getting out of poverty.
The Basic Needs Giving Partnership is a collaboration between the the U.S. Venture Open, the JJ Keller foundation, and regional community foundations in the Fox Valley Green Bay and Oshkosh.
