Governor Walker officially kicked off his re-election bid last month, and it’s one of the state’s top stories of the year.
While he heavily hinted that he was going to run for a third term, Walker took his time making it official. After his announcement at a rally in Waukesha, he said there’s more work to do.
After his failed presidential bid ended in September 2015, there was speculation that Walker wouldn’t run again. He later would answer questions about his future by saying “why wouldn’t I run again?.”
