Appleton police are talking with investigators in the Green Bay area to see if last night’s robbery is connected to several others this month.
Sgt. Dave Lund says a male in his late teens or early 20s had a knife when he took off with money from Dollar General on the north side. In all eight robberies in the Green Bay area this month, the suspect also had a knife.
Lund says officers were called to the store at Wisconsin Avenue and Mason Street around 9:30 p.m. He says officers tracked footprints in the snow to an apartment, but investigators didn’t think the person they talked with was a suspect.
Lund says the suspect is 5-8 to 5-10, with a slim to average build, and his face was covered.
