The head of Appleton’s library board says they’ll have to be patient, while city staffers go over the proposals for a new library.
Five development teams submitted mixed-use projects by last Friday’s deadline.
Board President Pat Exarhos says she’s excited about the process, and anxious to hear more. She believes the more variety there is with the proposals, the better the final project will be.
Exarhos says city and library staffers are reviewing the proposals, and they’ll make a recommendation. The city asked developers for formal plans for including a library in a mixed-use development, in the downtown.
The library board met yesterday afternoon.
