The state’s consumer protection agency has a list of the top 10 consumer complaints from last year and issues with the health care system made it for the first time.
Director Michelle Reinen says that was number seven. She says they’re mostly complaints about billing disputes.
Reinen says people are paying more attention to medical bills and asking questions when something is charged differently than they expected.
Another newcomer to the list was the quality of fuel at gas stations. It ranked 10th.
Reinen says the top five categories stayed the same from 2016. Telemarketing was first followed landlord-tenant issues.
