Appleton police say a suspected drunk driver led them on a short chase before he got out of his truck and ran from officers on the city’s north side.
Sergeant Dave Lund says police were called to the corner of East Marquette and North Union Street around 11:30 lat night for a report of a disabled car. When they got there police say two men standing in the area jumped in a truck and sped off.
Lund says the driver, a 27-year-old Appleton man, stopped the truck in the 400 block of East Lindbergh Street and ran away. Lund say he climbed a garage roof and wouldn’t follow orders to get down.
Lund says Kyle Davis had marijuana and was arrested for his third OWI offense. The other man in the truck, a 30-year-old Menasha man, was given a ticket for marijuana possession and released.
