The incumbent in the state’s race for U.S. Senate got donations from the parents of one of her Republican opponents.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Madison is up for re-election this fall. Kevin Nicholson will meet state Sen. Leah Vukmir in the Republican primary in August.
Nicholson’s parents, Michael and Donna, both gave Baldwin a maximum donation of $2,700 last December. They have a long history of contributing to Democratic candidates, and Nicholson is a former Democrat.
