The primary for the state Supreme Court is on Tuesday and one of the three candidates is a judge from Sauk County.
Judge Michael Screnock says he’s running because there weren’t any other candidates that shared his judicial philosophy. He says the courts should interpret and apply the law as it’s written. He says justices shouldn’t involve their political or personal beliefs.
Screnock will face Milwaukee County Judge Rebecca Dallet and Madison Attorney Tim Burns.
Earlier this week all three candidates appeared on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow. WHBY will replay their full interviews tomorrow afternoon at 5:30.
The top two finishers in Tuesday’s primary will move on to the general election on April 3rd.
