Leaders of the children’s museum in downtown Appleton are concerned about the effects of demolishing a parking ramp.
The Blue Ramp is next to the Building for Kids. Executive Director Jarrad Bittner says 35 percent of their visitors use that ramp, and 15 percent park at the library.
In their social media surveys, Bittner says 50 percent would use the museum less, or not at all, while the ramp is being torn down.
He says they’re also want families to be able to get to the museum, without crossing busy streets. He says having easy access for parents with strollers is also important.
