The city of Green Bay now has the final permits it needs for a sand beach and pier at Bay Beach.
Mayor Jim Schmitt says it’s the largest beach restoration project in state history to get a permit from the DNR. The city received three grants, worth $250,000, to design a beach, boardwalk, bathhouse, and wildlife viewing platform.
