Appleton will be at the center of the live music world in Wisconsin on Sunday night.
The annual WAMI awards show will be downtown at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
WAMI President Zoy Begos says the quality and quantity of bands are increasing, including in the Fox Valley area. He says Wisconsin is probably deemed to be a “cover band state,” but there’s a ton of original music from solo artists, to duos, and full bands.
WAMI organizers will hand out about three dozen awards, and induct three musicians into its Hall of Fame.
Tickets are available for the show. Doors open at 6 p.m. Sunday, and the awards start at 7 p.m.
