Governor Walker is weighing in on a new abortion law in Iowa and whether Wisconsin will follow that state’s lead.
Iowa is banning abortions after six weeks when the heartbeat of a fetus is detected. Walker says he’s not in any hurry to update Wisconsin’s laws. He says he thinks they’re already strong rules.
The Iowa law is the most restrictive in the nation. It’s already being challenged in lawsuits from Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.
