A children’s museum in downtown Appleton is trying to make it easier for families to afford a visit.
Katy Compton is a spokeswoman for The Building for Kids. She says every child and family deserves a chance to play, and to meet that end they’re initiating two programs.
One of them offers a $2 admission fee. Compton says they also have what’s called an Organization Access Membership. It lets families who are getting help from Harbor House, a homeless shelter, or another need-based organization to use the agency’s membership to visit the museum.
She says all of the programs are made possible through donations.
