The 6th annual Street Music Week in downtown Appleton starts today.
The event is put on by Heid Music and raises money for Feeding America.
Vice president DeDe Heid says their goal this year is $6,000. She says musicians pick up a bucket and then pick a spot to play. She says people can then walk around and donate while they enjoy the music.
Heid says they also have matching sponsors on each of the days.
Over the past five years the event has raised over $16,000.
Street Music Week starts today and goes through Friday. It’s from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on College Avenue in the downtown.
