Governor Walker says the state could start collecting sales taxes from online sales, but he says that would be offset with tax cuts in another area.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled last week that states can get that money.
The state revenue department believes the state could receive up to $187 million a year in sales taxes.
Department Secretary Rick Chandler says they’re still studying the high court’s decision, and he believes state lawmakers will tackle the issue next year.
