The state’s Republican attorney general is speaking out about plans from some Democratic candidates for governor to release certain inmates from state prisons.
A.G. Brad Schimel says it’s irresponsible and dangerous. He held a conference call with reporters today.
Schimel says the proposals ignore the fears of crime victims. He also believes governors shouldn’t interfere with the sentencing decisions of judges.
