Governor Walker, state lawmakers, and local leaders got together Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the work on the I-41 interchange with Highway 10-441.
Two of the new ramps opened last weekend, and the entire bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts is scheduled to be ready next week.
Walker took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. He says the new ramps weren’t only important for economic development, but also for public safety. He says emergency responders weren’t able to head in certain directions at the old interchange.
The plans call for the entire Highway 10-441 expansion project to be finished in the fall of next year.
