A 32-year-old Green Bay man is accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her in a motel room for more than two weeks.
Brown County prosecutors filed a series of charges against Tony Hughes. They say the woman got a no-contact order against Hughes, after a previous domestic abuse incident.
They say he saw her at a bus stop, forced her onto a bus, and took her to a motel. He’s accused of threatening to kill her and her family.
Prosecutors say she was finally able to contact her brother in mid-July and escape. Hughes is charged with sexually assaulting the woman and beating her.
