The chief curator at the History Museum at the Castle says he expects more visitors now that Packers training camp is underway.
Dustin Mack says the Packers are a sponsor of the Gridiron Glory exhibit. He says the Packers asked them to hold it during the 100th season celebration. He says he hopes people who stop by the Packers hall of fame will also come to Appleton.
Mack says there’s plenty of Packers memorabilia on display. He says there’s a helmet and shoulder pads from one of the first players and the Bart Star MVP football. He says there’s also a coil that failed under Lambeau Field during the Ice Bowl.
Mack says the traveling exhibit has items that can’t be seen at the pro football hall of fame. The History at the Castle is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s on College Avenue in Appleton.
