The Republican primary for the Outagamie County Sheriff position is coming up and three candidates are on the ballot.
One of them is Alex Bebris. He’s facing off against Clint Kriewaldt and John Brylski.
Bebris says he’s worked in law enforcement and public safety for 30 years. He says the other candidates lack experience at the command level. He says it’s a complex organization. He says his opponents have spent years in areas like patrol, but don’t know what goes into running a department.
Bebris says he’s served on executive committees as well as statewide boards and commissions.
The Republican primary is next Tuesday. We’ll hear from Brylski and Kriewaldt later this week. Sheiff Brad Gehring is retiring after 28 years as sheriff in Outagamie County.
