Governor Walker says he’s going to ask lawmakers to name the expanded interchange between I-41 and Hwy. 10-441 in honor of former state Sen. Mike Ellis.
Walker says it would be a fitting tribute for a man who contributed so much to his community and state.
Ellis died July 20th. He was 77 years old.
A celebration of his life will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the ballroom at Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center in Neenah.
A eulogy will be given at 7:30 p.m.
The governor ordered flags to fly at half-staff today in honor of Ellis.
