The race for governor is a dead heat, according to the first poll from the Marquette University Law School since the primary.
Republican Governor Walker and his Democratic challenger, Tony Evers, were both at 46 percent among likely voters. Only two percent say they’re undecided.
Poll Director Charles Franklin says the race tightened since they last asked about it, in June.
In the race for U.S. Senate, 49 percent support Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin of Madison. Forty-seven percent are backing Republican state Senator Leah Vukmir, and three percent are undecided.
Franklin says the polls for both races are within the margin of error.
