The severe storms that passed through northeast Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon caused street flooding around the Fox Cities, Oshkosh, and Green Bay areas.
Linda Kollman is Winnebago County’s emergency management director. She says the heavy rain created some issues with vehicles getting stuck on streets. She says even though the water is receding, some stalled cars hadn’t been removed as of Tuesday evening.
Kollman stresses that people shouldn’t drive into standing water.
There have been several heavy rainstorms recently, and Kollman says it was tough for some storm sewers to keep up yesterday. She says at least the ground was dry about a week ago, and not already saturated.
