A local non profit is putting on a celebration for Neenah’s iconic manhole covers.
Amy Barker is the executive director of Future Neenah. She says they’re hosting the first ever Manhole Cover Madness event. She says the covers are found all around the world. She says it’s one of the things that connects people to home and a source of pride.
Barker says they’re starting off a day with a run where participants will cross as many manhole covers as possible in a short amount of time. She says there’s also live music, a ninja-warrior course, and kids activities.
Manhole Cover Madness is tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It’s under the Winneconne Overpass across from Washington Park in Neenah.
