A Democratic candidate for Congress is pledging not to take campaign donations from corporate political action committees.
Beau Liegeois of Allouez is challenging Republican Congressman Mike Gallagher of Green Bay in the eighth district. He says he won’t accept them now, or in the future, if he’s elected.
Liegeois says he won’t be shackled by corporate PAC money. He says instead, he would vote in the best interests of people in the district.
Liegeois is an assistant district attorney for Brown County.
He’s also calling on Gallagher to return about $300,000 in campaign cash from corporate PACs. He accuses Gallagher of voting to help the corporate interests over people in the eighth district.
